Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the American is an actor comedian, activist, and actress. Her parents were Jewish parents from the Soviet Union and started her career as child actress after she immigrated to the United States. The appearances she made as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials from 2013 until 2016 - and now since 2020 - made her famous. Apart from commercial appearances, she was a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally, she was a regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub was initially selected to voice the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's unaired pilot for New Warriors in 2018, was voiced in that role since. Vayntrub was Jewish born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents, who were both just two years old, emigrated to America as refugees from antisemitism. They moved to West Hollywood. The financial struggles of her family caused her to be a part of Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of five. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. She dropped out of the school in her sophomore year. She was able to get a GED and later obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Communication) from University of California San Diego. She was a part of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and learned the art of improv comedy.
